About The Position

Maximus is seeking a Documents Manager to support a federal client's mission-critical programs by ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance of operational and contract documentation. As a Documents Manager, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and auditing controlled documents, including SOPs and time-sensitive deliverables. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing document lifecycles, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting contract deliverables. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is an on-site position that requires a Secret Clearance.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • 7+ years of experience required. 3 years of experience may be substituted with higher education.
  • 4+ years of technical writing required. Experience should include writing processes, SOPs, deliverables and other contractual documentation from scratch.
  • 2+ years creating and maintaining group Share Point, including organization, accesses, etc.
  • Experience with federal agencies & policies.
  • Due to federal requirements, only US Citizens can be considered; candidates with dual citizenship cannot be considered.
  • This contract does not allow for telework. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance to this work location.
  • This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs and time-sensitive Organizational Development Plans (ODPs).
  • Support the development, maintenance, and submission of required contract deliverables, ensuring compliance with client standards and timelines.
  • Manage and track policies, procedures, and work instructions through the Controlled Document Process.
  • Ensure documents are accurately classified, revised, and updated in compliance with control requirements, including tracking revision histories.
  • Conduct documentation audits to identify outdated content and work with stakeholders to determine necessary updates.
  • Support change management processes by identifying documentation updates required by Change Requests or new initiatives.
  • Monitor the Controlled Document Process and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with management and project teams to assess the impact of documentation across operational areas.
  • Provide general administrative support related to contract compliance and documentation processes.
  • Other tasks as requested.
