About The Position

Regions Hospital is seeking someone with strong interpersonal skills and excellent observation skills, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills to join our CDI team! This role facilitates improvement in the overall quality, completeness and accuracy of medical record documentation. Obtains and promotes appropriate clinical documentation through extensive interaction with physicians, nursing and other patient care staff and facility coding staff to ensure that clinical documentation reflects the level of service rendered to patients is complete and accurate. Educates all members of patient care team on documentation guidelines on an on-going basis. Maintains positive and open communications with physicians, interdisciplinary care team members, and coding staff. Meets and/or exceeds productivity and quality expectations as outlined by department policy, including but not limited to number of average daily reviews, query rate, missed query opportunities, clinician response rate, and clinician agree rate. Requirements

  • RN
  • Five (5) years of experience in medical/surgical, critical care, intensive care or emergency room care.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
