Soni's client is seeking two Document Specialists to join their Legal team, with positions available for both 1st Shift (9 AM to 5 PM) and 2nd Shift (12 PM to 8 PM). The ideal candidates will be seasoned users of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, and must demonstrate a proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The role requires individuals who can work collaboratively and efficiently, showcasing a driven mindset and a diligent work ethic. In this position, Document Specialists will operate computers with multiple software applications to transcribe digital dictation, handwritten edits, and process a variety of documents. Responsibilities include typing, revising, and finalizing Word documents such as correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, and reports for both legal and non-legal purposes. The role also involves creating and maintaining appropriate formatting using DM formatting, as well as creating or revising Adobe, Word forms, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets. Candidates will need to thoroughly read instructions accompanying materials or follow verbal instructions from supervisors to determine the format and content of documents. Maintaining a high level of accuracy and neatness is crucial, as is proofreading and editing documents for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting. The role may also require inputting data for revisions or editing using digital scanning devices, organizing and prioritizing numerous tasks under strict time constraints, and operating standard office equipment such as copiers and digital dictation devices. Interaction with clients, attorneys, and staff is essential, and confidentiality must be observed at all times. Document Specialists will also keep records of work performed in the document filing system and appropriately store completed documents.
