About The Position

The Document Services Specialist - Skip Tracing at Nelnet is responsible for performing analytical skip-tracing functions to locate borrowers and resolve delinquent accounts. Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Contact borrowers via telephone, mail, and email to locate and establish payment arrangements to rectify outstanding delinquencies on accounts
  • Contact third parties via telephone, mail to locate borrower demographics
  • Actively perform skip-tracing activities through various sources/tools in order to locate borrowers
  • Update demographic and other additional information on borrower accounts via the servicing system
  • Determine the most appropriate plan of action to resolve past due accounts
  • Provide pertinent account information and history information to educate borrowers about their issues
  • Perform additional collection activities related to collections documents and reports
  • Work within Corporate standards subject to quality and quantity
  • Other duties as assigned
