About The Position

Amentum is seeking Document Management Technicians to assist with the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA/Downwinders) claims team. The Document Management Technician role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of incoming materials supporting claims filed under RECA. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and data entry skills.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT (Moderate Risk Public Trust) facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure extremely important.
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to understand task, task objectives, and the context of the task in the litigation support effort as a whole.
  • Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete task correctly (e.g. where instructions are not explicit or appear to be contrary to the task objective).
  • Must have typing/keyboarding skills and good communication skills. 40 words/min touch typing preferred.
  • Must be knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, database, spreadsheet, imaging, and telecommunications systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Scan and copy incoming materials related to claims processing.
  • Data entry from paper document into the database.
  • Save and categorize scanned documents according to established procedures.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of document movement, including mailing and returns.
  • Adhere to strict confidentiality and compliance standards.

Benefits

  • Hiring hourly rate of pay: $19.98 (Hourly rate set by SCA)
  • This position is regulated by the Department of Labor (DOL) as a Service Contract Act (SCA) contract.
  • Employees will earn H&W dollars per eligible hour (including vacation and holiday up to 40 hours/week). H&W monies are used to offset the employer's cost of benefits the employee elects into and/or utilizes.
