About The Position

The Document Management Technician performs various functions under close supervision, following clearly defined standard operating procedures and guidelines. Responsibilities include retrieving and copying incoming materials related to eDiscovery requests, data entry to track and update stats and statuses for all work performed, downloading, saving, and categorizing electronic data according to established procedures, and maintaining accurate tracking on an Excel sheet of data movement. The technician also creates simple and standard reports in Excel and serves as the point of contact for all deliveries for data sent via USPS, FedEx/UPS, couriers, and hand-delivery from Legal Case Team members. Adherence to strict confidentiality and compliance standards is essential. This is a full-time position (40 hours a week) located at a secured facility in Washington, DC.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization.
  • Ability to perform detailed work consistently, accurately, and under pressure.
  • Must be able to read and follow instructions.
  • Must be able to understand task, task objectives, and the context of the task in the litigation support effort.
  • Must take the initiative to ask questions when necessary to complete tasks correctly.
  • Must have typing/keyboarding skills and good communication skills.
  • 40 words/min touch typing preferred.
  • Must be a knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate degree preferred.
  • Litigation support experience valued.

  • Adhere to strict confidentiality and compliance standards.
