To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com What you'll be doing The Document Management Product Owner will be responsible for the end-to-end strategy, development, and optimization of CIBC’s document management solutions. This role will lead cross-functional teams to deliver innovative, secure, and user-friendly products that support business objectives, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, experience with document management technologies, and a proven track record of driving successful product launches. Ideally this candidate would have experience with Open Text Content Management platforms. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.   • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for document management solutions.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer engagement to identify opportunities and inform product direction.
  • Product Development & Delivery: Lead cross-functional teams through the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, align on priorities, and ensure successful product adoption.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for product-related communications and updates.
  • Partner with the Bank’s Records Management team to ensure alignment
  • Performance Measurement: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform continuous improvement.
  • Analyze user feedback, usage data, and operational metrics to drive product enhancements.
  • Vendor Management Oversee the business relationship with our third party providers
  • Stay up to date on emerging trends and best practices in document management
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent an asset.
  • You possess 5+ years of experience in product management, preferably with document management or enterprise content management solutions.
  • You portray strong understanding of document management systems, workflow automation, and data security.
  • You have proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex products.
  • You demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • You exhibit an analytical mindset with proficiency in product analytics and reporting tools.
  • You possess knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., data privacy, information security).
  • You are an experienced professional working in financial services or regulated industries preferred.
  • Ideally this candidate would have experience with Open Text Content Management platforms.

  • This role has an expected salary range of $160,000 - $180,000 for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.
  • The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
