The Document Custodian Vault Analyst plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining the integrity of documents related to Institutional clients. This position involves receiving mail, pulling, and re-filing documents, as well as updating the tracking system to reflect all associated activities accurately. The analyst is responsible for ensuring that all documents received from Institutional customers are checked against manifests to confirm their authenticity, determining whether they are copies or originals. This meticulous attention to detail is essential for maintaining the accuracy of the tracking system, which is updated either manually or through imports. In addition to document management, the analyst will pull files and documents requested by team members, signing them out for tracking purposes. This includes sending files and documents to the correct customers and ensuring that all release information is accurately recorded in the tracking system. The role also requires re-filing any documents returned to the vault and updating the tracking system with return information to support system accuracy. The analyst must understand and adhere to the company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, identifying any risk-related issues that need to be escalated to management. Promoting a diverse work environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand is also a key responsibility. The analyst must maintain M&T's internal control standards, ensuring timely implementation of internal and external audit points, as well as addressing any issues raised by external regulators. The position may also involve completing other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the document management process.
