About The Position

The Document Control Specialist will provide administrative/document control support to the Quality Manager and Project Management Team on an as needed basis which includes (but not limited to): copying, scanning, computer work, daily emails to client list, telephone calling and answering. The successful candidate will be expected to resolve document issues as they arise throughout the duration of construction project activities onsite at construction site in such a manner to ensure that project goals and objectives are successfully accomplished within approved schedule and budget.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A valid (U.S issued) Driver’s License is required.
  • The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 3x3 or 6x1 rotation is required.
  • A minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Document Control Specialist working directly in project document management and electronic document management systems is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Four (4) or more years’ experience working as a Document Control Specialist in the Oil and Gas industry and/or on the North Slope is preferred.
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP), Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE), or a Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification is preferred.
  • Experience with Bluebeam is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Log incoming QC documentation.
  • Complete data entry in project weld tracker.
  • Identify and update IFC drawings.
  • Edit and update project weld maps.
  • Assist with any documentation needs in the field.
  • Endorse, promote, and comply with all corporate HSE and HIRD policies.
  • Interface/coordinate with Client representatives and other project associates in a professional and productive manner.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
  • Comply with company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.
