About The Position

The Document Control Coordinator is responsible for the administration and governance of controlled documentation supporting product configuration, manufacturing processes, and quality systems compliance. The role ensure documentation accuracy, revision control, and adherence to AS9100, ISO, customer and regulatory requirements. This position partners cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Operations to support disciplined change management, audit readiness, and manufacturing execution.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO standards, quality audits, and corrective action process.
  • Strong document control, configuration management, and change management discipline.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to analyze documentation workflows and identify efficiency and compliance improvements.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP and document control system experience preferred.
  • Self-directed, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education or certification in document control, quality, or manufacturing preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a Document Control, Quality, Manufacturing, or related role.
  • Familiarity with controlled documentation systems and change management processes preferred.
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., “Green Card Holder”), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Own and administer the Document Change Order (DCO) process, ensuring timely, accurate review, approval, release, and archival of controlled documents.
  • Maintain document control systems and databases, including revision history, change logs, and approval records.
  • Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures and quality standards prior to release.
  • Maintain Bills of Material (BOMs), manufacturing process documentation, and finished goods part numbering in accordance with configuration control requirements.
  • Create, update, and maintain CAD drawings and related documentation, as required.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring document traceability, compliance, and readiness.
  • Assist employees with document access, retrieval, issuance, storage, and change requests.
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate documentation or process control gaps and inefficiencies.
  • Participate as a member of the Quality Management System (QMS) team, including updating policies and procedures.
  • Support program management and ERP-related activities, including order entry and documentation alignment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support engineering changes, production readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform scheduled internal audits of the document control system and related processes to verify compliance with internal procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs.
