As a Document Control Clerk at Precision Edge Surgical Products, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our quality management system. Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing paper documents for accuracy, scanning them into our system, linking them to the appropriate customer orders, and securely storing them. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA 21 CFR Part 820, which are essential standards for our document system. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills to manage the documentation process effectively. In this role, you will conduct thorough reviews of Quality Management System (QMS) records, ensuring they adhere to good documentation practices. You will also be tasked with scanning records, auditing file locations, and ensuring the legibility of scanned QMS records. Additionally, you will link files to our Global Shop ERP system and conduct complete reviews of shipping documentation prior to customer shipment releases. Your ability to maintain the accuracy of documents at points of use is vital, as you will verify that the most recent versions are displayed and prevent the unintended use of obsolete documents. To succeed in this position, you will need to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively. You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have the stamina to sit for prolonged periods while working on a computer. Excellent writing and proofreading skills are essential, along with analytical problem-solving abilities. Collaboration with various department system owners will be a key aspect of your role, so strong team skills and a positive attitude are necessary. You will also need basic to intermediate experience with MS Word, Excel, Access, and Adobe Acrobat, and the ability to work well under minimal supervision while adapting to changes in priorities with little notice.
