About The Position
VCA Veterinary Specialists of the Valley is seeking a ER Doctors Assistant to join our ER at our AAHA-accredited, emergency and multi-specialty practice in Woodland Hills, California. VCA VSV is high volume, AAHA accredited, state-of-the-art specialty referral and 24-hour critical care hospital located in the San Fernando Valley. We are a fast paced hospital that provides an amazing learning environment and a rewarding caseload. We pride ourselves on our dedicated and compassionate technical and non-technical staff as well as our team of amazing specialists and senior clinicians. Team members who have a strong desire to learn and great communication skills are a must. Doctors Assistants: Our doctors assistants have the opportunity to be a part of providing specialty medical services by working alongside our veterinarians and providing excellent customer service with a great learning environment and dedicated staff. We are looking for highly organized individuals that have strong multi-tasking and customer service skills.
Requirements
- Experience with computers, phones, and billing is a must.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the veterinary field is recommended but not required.
Responsibilities
- Creating estimates
- Documenting doctor conversations
- Answer client questions
- Perform client follow-up calls
- Create prescription labels/Prescription refills
- Constant communication with doctors, technicians, front office, client liaison, and other personnel
