About The Position

As a Doctor of Optometry: Provide comprehensive eye exams and medical eye care. Diagnose and manage ocular disease. Deliver an outstanding, patient-first experience. Utilize modern diagnostic technology to support best-in-class care. Partner with optical staff to ensure prescriptions translate into exceptional visual outcomes. Collaborate with opticians to support proper lens selection, fit, and patient education. Follow up on complex cases to ensure patient satisfaction with their eyewear. As a Regional Leader: Support and mentor optometrists in your assigned region. Ensure consistency in clinical quality and patient care standards. Help onboard and develop new doctors. Actively participate in recruiting efforts, including interviewing and candidate evaluation. Lead structured onboarding and integration of newly hired optometrists. Collaborate with operations and executive leadership. Identify opportunities for clinical improvement and growth. Promote a culture of accountability, excellence, and teamwork. Work closely with store managers and optical teams to align clinical care with retail execution and patient experience standards (BCO Patient Road Map) Partner with leadership to support effective doctor scheduling and regional coverage planning. Actively participate in and contribute to monthly OD calls, leadership meetings, and company events. Clinical & Store Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with store staff to drive positive patient outcomes. Provide guidance and oversight when trained staff assist with pre-testing procedures. Ensure proper protocols and quality standards are followed during pre-testing. Support ongoing training and education for store teams involved in clinical support. Foster seamless handoffs between exam room and optical to maximize patient satisfaction and retention.
