Team members who have a strong desire to learn and great communication skills are a must. Currently seeking applicants for a Doctor's Assistant for our growing Emergency and Specialty Hospital. Location: 8725 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069 Schedule: Full-time, 4 x 10-hour shifts Salary: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour Doctor's assistants have the opportunity to be a part of providing critical care services and excellent customer service while working alongside our veterinarians within a great learning environment. We are seeking highly organized individuals with strong multi-tasking and customer service skills. This position involves heavy communication with doctors, technicians, the front office, our client liaison, and the clients. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. Experience with computers and a multi-line phone system is required. Current experience (within the last 2 years) in veterinary medicine, either as a DA or veterinary technician, is highly recommended. Experience in specialty medicine is a huge plus! Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Obtain initial patient histories from the client Transcribe physical exam findings, lab results, imaging reports, etc., into patient medical records Create financial estimates Client communication and education Performing client/patient follow-up phone calls Create and process prescription refills Maintain medical records Review discharge instructions with clients Complete lab submission forms This is a full-time position that utilizes four 10-hour shifts per week, and pay rates are determined by experience level and credentials. Available schedules do include working weekend shifts. Compensation for this position ranges from $21/hour to $25/hour, dependent on education, experience, credentials, location, nature of practice, schedule, and additional responsibilities. Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
