About the position
The Dockworker position involves operating powered warehouse equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, hydraulic jacks, and extended belts and loading devices. The role requires utilizing tractor equipment and operating vehicles in both forward and backward motion, maneuvering curves, and efficiently pulling and backing into tight spaces in a safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Operate yard truck to manage dock needs and maintain safety and cleanliness of dock and yard.
- Print BOL for daily deliveries.
- Process and palletize all damage penny and RTV merchandise.
- Follow all safety protocols.
- Help maintain dock equipment.
- Unload cargo using a crane or forklift.
- Help secure shipments when they arrive.
Requirements
- U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
- Forklift operator certification.
- Good overall physical condition.
- Team-oriented work ethic.
- 1+ years of experience working with heavy machinery.
