A. Duie Pyle is seeking a Part-time Outbound Dockworker in Pittston, PA. This role is responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via electronic and manual systems. A. Requirements
- Ability to safely operate equipment and follow all company and government safety rules and regulations
- Ability to read, write and speak English; communicate effectively
Nice To Haves
- Prior forklift experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating a forklift or other material handling equipment
- Prior experience in warehousing, freight, and/or logistics
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jack
- Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transport
- Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal
- Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work
- Operating with a customer service first mentality
Benefits
- Earn $21 per hour. Rate will increase to $22 after 12 months of employment
- Weekly pay every Friday via direct deposit – overtime after 40 hours
