Dockmaster Security Officer (Full Time)
About The Position
At Securitas, on-site security officers are the foundation of our organization. Our officers are trained to provide a high level of professionalism and specialization for their assignments, help safeguard people, property, and information. We are looking for an experienced Dockmaster to join our team in Downtown Seattle. As a Dockmaster, you will be responsible for managing access control, monitoring incoming and outgoing freight and deliveries, coordinating with tenants and vendors, ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations at the loading dock area. Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
- 2+ years of professional experience in customer service and security required.
- Intermediate to advanced computer / technology skills needed.
- Strong customer service skills required.
- Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a calm and professional manner.
- Must have great attention to detail and the ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
- All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

- Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!!
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all dock-related activities.
- Monitor and control access to the loading dock area for authorized vehicles, personnel, and vendors.
- Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, shipments, and visitors.
- Conduct safety inspections of the dock area and report any hazards or violations.
- Coordinate dock appointments and ensure efficient vehicle turnaround.
- Communicate with building management, tenants, and logistics personnel to facilitate smooth operations.
- Enforce company and site-specific policies and procedures.
- Monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment.
- Responding to incidents and emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to all dock users and stakeholders.
