About The Position

Job Responsibilities: Greet customers in person, telephone and VHF radio with proper etiquette Answer all marina inquiries in a timely and concise manner Understand and can explain the marina's amenities and services Understand and can quote dockage rates Manage transient reservations Can work well with others, provide training and guidance Assist clients in securing their vessels upon arrival and departure from the marina Learn the marina hurricane protocol, and can implement as needed Can prioritize daily duties Perform daily dock checks of the marina Perform daily trash pickup on the docks and in the water Perform hazardous waste removal from vessels Perform sewage Pump Out for vessels Maintain docks and marina clean and neat including crew lounge, marina office and marina restroom. Pressure wash docks on a regular basis Wash and wax dock boxes on a regular basis Operate company golf carts Wash company golf carts on a regular basis Operate the company vessels Have basic knowledge of hand/power tools and their usage Have basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing procedures Assist with maintenance of the marina and marina equipment Oversee the fueling of vessels, to avoid fuel spills Learn the marina oil/fuel spill protocol, and can implement safety procedures as needed Can assess a situation and determine the best course of action and tools required Can work independently and make sound decisions Can oversee projects from start to finish Must be neat, presentable and in uniform daily Must be reliable and punctual to work Can perform duties upon request when needed Can work weekends and holidays, both day and night shift. Can work 4 days, 10 hour shifts. Bilingual is preferred. Experience History of marina experience a plus Education/Certifications: High school diploma or GED Clean Driving record Required Experience / Physical Requirements: Must be energetic and have good physical ability Can lift and move a minimum of 40 lbs Can pull and push to help move vessels when needed Must know how to properly tie vessel lines Must be able to crawl under docks to assist with maintenance and repairs Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions including storms, high winds, rain, and extreme sun Must be willing to receive supervision and instruction as needed Qualifications
