The position performs docketing and complex legal report development using computerized case tracking and record-keeping systems in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney's Office (USAO). Serves as a source of procedural and systemic information on all aspects of docketing systems for Assistant United States Attorneys (AUSAs) and legal support staff. The automated systems are tools which provide information used to manage litigation from initial referral to final disposition and to provide comprehensive data for resource planning and evaluation. This position is located in the Criminal Section of the United States Attorney's Office for the District of Minnesota (USAO-MN) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Typical work assignments will include maintaining and extracting data from automated docketing databases and systems; extracting requested statistical data on a regular basis; entering new information to databases; developing, maintaining, and improving docketing functions involving collecting, selecting, organizing, and providing information orally or in written form; assisting paralegals in obtaining information from the database and in interpreting output; reviewing reports to identify recurring errors; and occasional receptionist duties. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
