This position involves properly loading and unloading freight using a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand. Responsibilities include strapping, bracing, and padding freight to prevent damage or shifting, and accurately recording the condition of freight upon arrival at the service center. The role also requires performing pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment. Regular attendance is mandatory, and employees are expected to perform any and all other duties as assigned due to operational, safety, or other needs. The job demands the ability to work all shifts, including overtime and weekends, and to operate under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities.
