Hourly wage paid weekly! Our part-time dock workers will be: Available to work between 6am to approximately 11am (hours may vary depending on freight delays).
Responsibilities
- Utilize Dock Management System to consistently monitor freight shipment locations throughout the service center.
- Process, scan, image, and inspect packages.
- Read and interpret shipping labels.
- Familiarity with, and in some cases ability to complete the various forms utilized in freight movement such as shipping orders, city stripping manifests, freight bills, overage/damage movement reports, and exception forms.
- Hand unload, rewrap, or stack freight as necessary.
- Team player in unloading, sorting, scanning, and freight recovery at the end of the sort.
- Flexible in taking direction and assisting with different assignments in the operations and able to productive in timed sorting and unloading.
- Able to efficiently communicate and have frequent contact with service center personnel.
- Adapt and succeed in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented.
- Able and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
