This position involves the proper loading and unloading of freight, utilizing equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or manual handling. Key responsibilities include strapping, bracing, and padding freight to prevent damage or shifting during transit. The role also requires accurately recording the condition of freight upon its arrival at the terminal and performing pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment. Regular attendance is mandatory. This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and employees may be required to perform other tasks as assigned due to operational, safety, or other needs, and must be capable of performing all such duties.
