The Bridgeport Port Jefferson Ferry is seeking highly qualified individuals to join our team as Dock Workers in Bridgeport, CT. Duties and responsibilities are outlined below: Dock Worker Reports to: The Dock Worker in Port Jefferson is directly responsible and accountable to the Dock Supervisor. The Dock Worker in Bridgeport is directly responsible and accountable to the Dock Supervisor. Supervises: None Description of Duties: The Dock Worker helps to ensure smooth and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles, maintains the cleanliness of the loading dock and performs other duties assigned. Meet and greet incoming customers. Give directions and advice to ferry passengers. Position cars to ensure efficient and safe board of the ferry. Perform routine maintenance tasks on the dock. Perform security sweeps of the ferry terminal, loading dock and parking lots. Inspect vehicles as deemed necessary Maintain knowledge of security procedures and perform same as required Handle ship lines, freight and ramp operations Run errands as requested Perform additional duties as assigned Dockworkers in Bridgeport, CT are also responsible for: Driving the shuttle bus to escort passengers from off-site parking lot to the ferry loading dock Other duties as assigned Equal Employment Opportunity Employer: We are an Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”) Employer.
