This role involves loading and unloading freight using various equipment or by hand, ensuring freight is secured to prevent damage, and accurately recording its condition upon arrival. It also requires performing pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment. The position demands regular attendance and the ability to perform other assigned duties as operational, safety, and other needs require. Employees are expected to be dependable, capable of working under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment with multiple priorities, and able to interact well with others, either independently or in a team setting. They must also be able to read, interpret, and comply with written information and documents such as safety rules, operations/procedure manuals, and maintenance instructions with a high comprehension and concentration level to meet deadlines.
