The position involves properly loading and unloading freight using various equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, or by hand. Responsibilities include strapping, bracing, and padding freight to prevent damage or shifting, as well as accurately recording the condition of freight upon arrival at the terminal. The employee is also responsible for performing pre-shift and post-shift inspections of dock equipment. Regular attendance is required, and the job may involve performing additional duties as assigned based on operational, safety, and other needs.
