We are seeking a Full Time Working Dock Supervisor at our Grand Island, NE terminal. Class A or Class B CDL is REQUIRED Pay: is $60,000/Year Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00am - 9:00pm POSITION SUMMARY: To organize the dock, provide paperwork for dockworkers, and oversee the loads to ensure the trailers are being loaded correctly. Must be forklift certified and expected to work the floor. Also have the ability to flex into any shift to cover any supervisor's absence or vacation time.

Requirements

A minimum age of 18
High School completion or equivalent
Valid Driver License
Valid Class A or Class B CDL
Supervisory experience required
Ability to work any shift
Must have the knowledge and ability to perform all Operations jobs in the Terminal including Dock, Dispatch, Warehouse, and Routing
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership skills
Detail-oriented, organized
Must meet all physical requirements
Must have certification in forklift safety and hazardous material handling
Ability to multi-task and react to change productively
Excellent attendance

Responsibilities

Provide training, supervision, feedback, and discipline for hourly Operations team members
Route City operation
Manage the daily performance of the City Pickup and Delivery Operation for optimal safety, performance, on-time Service, cost control, and claims prevention
Ensure On-time Delivery service in accordance with the organizational goals by ensuring pick-ups and deliveries are made timely, efficiently, and returns are kept to a minimum
Monitor Line Haul operation
Monitor Dock performance and efficiency and adjust manpower as needed
Solve problems regarding lost and missing freight
Communicate efficiently with other departments to ensure a successful operation
Work in a safe and professional manner so as to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employees
Report all facility problems to the Facility Maintenance Department
Comply with federal, state, and company regulations
Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job
Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times
Perform other duties as needed
