About The Position

This position is for Midwest Motor Express (MME), a sister company of AAA Cooper Transportation (ACT). Together through an extended network, we offer a wide range of employment opportunities. Midwest Motor Express (MME), (SCAC "AACT"), the Midwest operating region of AAA Cooper Transportation, is immediately hiring a Full-Time Dock Supervisor to join the team at our Denver, CO, Service Center. This role is a crucial part of the service center's daily operations. In this position, you'll directly contribute to the efficient flow of freight in and out of the service center while supporting our commitment to our valued customers. Your dedication to safe freight handling, efficient loading and unloading, and effective communication within the service center will be essential to our mutual success. Requirements

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dock equipment and safety practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other freight-maneuvering equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate dock operations, including freight loading, unloading, sorting, and routing.
  • Ensure all dockworkers follow proper safety protocols, operational procedures, and equipment usage guidelines.
  • Manage labor schedules, monitor performance, and lead daily shifts to meet goals.
  • Inspect freight for damages or discrepancies and ensure proper documentation is completed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant dock environment.
  • Support communication between dispatch, drivers, and dock teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Train new dock employees and provide ongoing performance feedback to team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
