JOB DESCRIPTION GENERAL INFORMATION POSITION Forklift Operator DEPARTMENT REPORTS TO TYPE OF POSITION Materials Distribution Supervisor Indirect JOB SUMMARY: We’re currently seeking a forklift operator who has experience with heavy machinery and a strong record of safety in a physically demanding role. The main responsibilities are locating, moving, stacking, and tracking heavy materials, and the job may include filling orders and interacting with customers in various settings. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Pick, pack, check, and load products accurately on/off trailers and to/from designated areas of facility Move materials around facility using pallets and crates Stack loads in correct storage bays, following inventory-control instructions Complete forms and handle documentation Inspect machinery to determine need for repairs, and ensure safety by performing regular maintenance Maintain accurate production records and reports of issues EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: 1 year KNOWLEDGE: Experience working with heavy machinery Strong abilities in mechanical testing and implementation Ability to handle heavy equipment and perform heavy lifting on a consistent basis FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES Communication Analytical Skills Decision Making Teamwork Leadership Work under pressure TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Certification to operate forklifts Stoneridge is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
