About The Position

Dock Load Specialist Position Overview This position works under direct supervision while performing a variety of shipping, receiving, and material control tasks. This will include handling purchasing rejects, ensuring suppliers have up to date prints, keying transfers, and material handling. Handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in material inventory

  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret blur prints
  • Understand and demonstrate basic computer skills
  • Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter
  • Computer skills, equipment operation, tool operation, judgment, interpersonal skills, math, reading and writing
  • Ability to possess good mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all team members
  • Ability to function as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision in a responsible manner
  • Ability to recognize potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions to minimize risks
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of confidential business and product information
  • Ability to have acceptable attendance for company standard; provides adequate notification; aware of impact on organization.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Terex safety policies and procedures
  • Adhere to and promote The Terex Way Values
  • Receive and check in of raw materials, purchased stock, finished items, equipment, supplies and returned goods
  • Check in received goods to purchase orders of receiving slips as to identification, type, part number, dimension, size, quantity, and general quality
  • Visually inspect goods received for damage from handling and transit, and process damage report
  • Access computer terminals and process all transactions required for the receiving function
  • Prepare reports to appraise purchasing and manufacturing of goods received relative to identification, type, size, quantity, quality, and dispatch or deliver materials to storage or manufacturing areas.
  • Operate forklift within Terex Utilities forklift policy.
  • Work under general supervision; reports are subject to verification; instructions and guidance given on new or unusual procedures.
  • Maintain clean work area and participate in 5s standards
  • All other duties as assigned
