About The Position
As a highly valued member of the Dallas, TX Team, this position is responsible for ensuring that all inbound and/or outbound shipments are accurate and timely. The Dock Lead will provide daily/weekly balancing of skilled labor across the shipping and/or receiving department, oversee material handlers in achieving department and site performance objectives that include safety, cost, service, quality, and efficiency. The role involves conveying relevant information to Supervisors, Managers, and other employees, assisting management by driving continuous improvement activities within the shipping department, creating written and oral instructions needed in the shipping area, and ensuring understanding of company KPIs and taking actions to meet them. Other duties/projects may be assigned by the Shipping Supervisor.
