About The Position

Supports processing goods and emptying equipment for transportation flow according to GWH policy and ensures the efficient and cost-effective operation and stewardship of the outlet store and donation center to maximize profitability for mission services funding.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to understand safety instructions, standard operating procedures, and workplace communications.
Ability to work independently.
Must have reliable transportation.
Ability to multitask, make quick decisions, and work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Must have punctual and dependable attendance.
Free from alcohol and drugs.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for current or future employment. GWH does not offer visa sponsorship for employment purposes.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate GWH’s Core Values in all actions.
Assist drivers with the safe loading and unloading of goods, equipment, salvage, etc., at all GWH locations.
Assist in ensuring that all products are constantly being rotated.
Assist in efficiently moving goods on the dock or production areas and when loading and unloading trucks with the aid of material handling equipment as needed.
Fill outlet boats with products and rotate them on and off the floor per the rotation schedule.
Sort products into appropriate salvage, recycling, and trash based on current commodity expectations.
Assist with properly loading cargo, ensuring the load is secured and ready for transport.
Handle and move merchandise safely by using proper lifting techniques and material-handling equipment as needed.
Assist in sorting donated goods into appropriate categories based on GWH guidelines.
Support the processing operation by handling equipment and maintaining product flow with a sense of urgency.
Help maintain accurate counts and support production goals as assigned.
Ensure proper rotation of goods and assist in maintaining product flow.
Assist with completing required logs and paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the docks and other workspaces.
Follow safe work procedures and personal protective equipment as required (e.g., lifting, proper equipment use, etc.).
Report all accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and near misses immediately.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and present a friendly, cooperative attitude.
