About The Position

Marlin Bay is a luxury vacation rental community and marina in Marathon, FL. We are looking for a Dock Hand with excellent customer service to join our team. You would assist the daily operations of our 99-slip marina. Responsibilities include assistance with the daily marina tasks including helping guests arrive and depart from their dock, guiding guests over the radio, navigation, marina amenity cleaning, pressure-washing, package delivery to guests, assisting guests with golf cart rides and requests, pump-outs, and maintaining the marina. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of marina operations, excellent customer service practices, and time management. Ultimately, you will help ensure our marina operations run smoothly and that our guests' expectations for a welcoming, clean and safe environment are met and exceeded. The flow of your day can vary based on business needs but will regularly include active, hands-on duties.

Requirements

Stamina to handle the physical demands of the job; including working outside in hot and humid conditions.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Customer service or marina experience preferred but will train.

Responsibilities

Assists other Dockhands in marina related duties such as securing boats to docks, connecting and monitoring utility services (power, water), black water pump out, waste disposal and facility sanitation.
Provides the highest level of guest services, expedites any and all requests from vessels including transport of patrons and baggage to and from dockside, delivery of provisions and packages.
Routinely operates golf carts and water vehicles and other various mechanized equipment.
Responsible for marina security; provides general property watch and supports Resort property watch teams in their related efforts; reports disturbances in dock area to superiors and maintains general vigilance.
Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and sanitation policies.
Coordinate Guest orientation.
Greet all Guests upon arrival.
Assist with developing repeat guest program and initiatives.
Assist with advertising and promoting Marina's services and slips; and
Working with the Dockmaster assist with pre-arrival communication for Guests.
