About The Position

We’re looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined technician to join our Louisville team. As a Dock & Door Service Technician, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial and industrial dock and door equipment at customer sites. This is a field-based role where no two days are the same—you’ll troubleshoot real problems, work directly with customers, and make an immediate impact.

Requirements

Mechanical aptitude (automotive, construction, equipment repair, maintenance, etc.)
1–5 years of relevant experience preferred
Basic knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, or mechanical systems
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically active environment

Nice To Haves

Welding or cutting torch experience is a plus
Experience operating lift trucks or scissor lifts is a plus

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain dock levelers, overhead doors, dock locks, safety gates, and shelters
Perform installations and identify potential issues at job sites
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Complete preventative maintenance and safety checks
Communicate directly with customers to explain issues and solutions
Accurately document service work and complete work orders
Work closely with dispatch, parts, and sales teams to meet customer needs
