About The Position

SUMMARY Looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial-minded salesperson to cover a territory consisting of Augusta, GA to Columbia, SC. The position will consist of selling material handling equipment along with dock levelers, doors, truck restraints, high-speed doors, and other related equipment. Commercial Dock and Door is a leading distributor of commercial loading docks and overhead doors. We have a family culture that continuously invests in its people. JOB DESCRIPTION The position is assigned sales objectives to meet goals for both unit sales and profitability. Responsibilities include calling on existing customers, developing new customers via prospecting, and promoting our company’s products and services while working with our Dock & Door Department team. Must be mechanically-minded and able to operate independently providing great customer service and account management skills. Looking for someone with a relentless drive and a competitive motivation to win.

Requirements

  • 3+ years’ experience in Industrial Sales preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred; or 3+ years of related experience.
  • Current unrestricted driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Develop solid client relationships and serve as a technical consultant to customers.
  • Develop and grow your exclusive sales territory through consistent communication, familiarity with local market conditions and competitor dynamics.
  • Maintain up to date technical knowledge of overhead doors, dock levelers and associated equipment lines.
  • Provide estimates to customers for all regular work and repairs.
  • Ability to read and understand building blueprints to quote new construction products.
