THE ROLE Reporting to the Dock & Door Operations Manager, the Dock & Door Install Technician is responsible for the installation of commercial and industrial dock and door equipment, including: Rolling steel and sectional doors Dock levelers and truck restraints Safety gates and truck shelters HVLS fans You’ll work independently and as part of a team to complete installations safely, efficiently, and to Raymond Storage Concepts standards — ensuring every job is done right the first time.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of dock & door, installation, or related mechanical experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Residence within the designated service area
Nice To Haves
- Welding and cutting torch experience preferred
- Experience operating lift trucks and scissor lifts preferred
- Basic knowledge of electrical systems, motor controls, and/or hydraulics preferred
Responsibilities
- Install dock and door equipment efficiently and accurately while following all safety regulations and company procedures
- Complete and maintain all required safety training and equipment certifications
- Meet performance goals related to labor efficiency, work completion, and quality
- Maintain a clean, organized service truck, tools, uniforms, and inventory
- Accurately document all work performed and submit paperwork in a timely manner
- Partner with Parts, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure customer needs are met
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams, representing RSC with integrity
- Promote service maintenance programs and support the RSC brand through excellent customer interactions
- Remain flexible with scheduling to support customer needs
- Drive safely throughout the service territory and maintain a clean driving record
- Demonstrate sound judgment, accountability, and a positive, professional attitude
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
