The DoD SkillBridge Internship at Siemens Industry, Inc. offers a unique opportunity for active-duty US Military Service members to gain hands-on experience in Technical Field Support. This internship is part of the SkillBridge program, which allows service members to transition into civilian careers while still on active duty. As a SkillBridge Intern, you will be involved in various aspects of project management within the Smart Infrastructure division, focusing on Building Automation, Fire/Life Safety, and Integrated Security projects. You will work closely with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects in commercial buildings, enhancing the efficiency and safety of smart buildings that support various industries, including schools, hospitals, and military bases. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects simultaneously, managing project schedules, and ensuring that all project facets are executed within budget and to the satisfaction of customers. You will gain valuable experience in reviewing project contracts, specifications, and drawings, as well as managing the requisition of supplies and materials. The internship will also provide you with the opportunity to develop skills in project billing, job cost reporting, and customer satisfaction management. This position is designed to prepare you for a successful transition into a full-time role within Siemens upon completion of the internship.
