Requirements

1–3+ years of dealership title or wholesale experience (California preferred)
Strong knowledge of California DMV processes and compliance requirements
Experience handling auction purchases and wholesale inventory
Familiarity with Reg 262, Reg 227, and dealer reassignment procedures
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage high-volume workloads and meet strict deadlines
Proficiency with dealership systems (CDK, ADVENT)
Strong communication and follow-up skills

Responsibilities

Process titles and registrations in accordance with California DMV requirements
Handle all wholesale (dealer-to-dealer) transactions, including title transfers and reassignments
Manage vehicle purchases from auctions, including post-sale paperwork and funding
Ensure proper completion of Reg 262, Reg 227, and other required CA DMV forms
Track incoming titles and follow up on missing or delayed documents
Verify lien releases, odometer disclosures, and ownership documentation
Submit title paperwork within California-required timelines
Coordinate with auctions (Manheim, ADESA), lenders, and other dealerships
Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, purchases, and title status
Resolve title issues, including out-of-state transfers and discrepancies
