IBJI wants to help you move better, so you can live better. Summary Illinois Bone and Joint Institute is currently seeking a full time DME Services Coordinator based at our Westmont office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or ATC Certification preferred
  • DME experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinic policies and procedures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active driver’s license to travel between HOA Offices

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates patient fitting and treatment activities in the clinic setting.
  • Ensures all necessary medical records/x-rays/reports/forms, etc. related to the patient’s DME product fitting and billing are available for precertification.
  • Provides patient care as per physician’s direction/orders.
  • Assists physician and physician’s staff with DME fitting and patient follow up.
  • Monitors and ensures the accurate completion of patient charge tickets that have been fitted by DME Coordinator.
  • Reinforces patient/family education and processes.
  • Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner.
  • Serves as a liaison between Administration, Physicians and staff ensuring that all staff within the department are viewed/treated as “team” members.
  • Is supportive of Managers/departments responsibilities/needs and promotes cooperative efforts between departments.
  • Communicates with all staff all changes in policies and procedures with regard to DME operations as assigned.
  • Ensures the availability/accessibility of DME in order to satisfy physician and clinical staff requirements
  • Ensures that HOA’s DME Organizational Policy and Procedure Manual is made available to all staff for review.
  • Assist with tracking of DME billing/reimbursements.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
