About The Position

This role supports patients in a professional office setting as they arrive for appointments to be fitted for CPAP and other DME equipment. The DME Patient Registration Coordinator serves as a key point of contact, ensuring accurate intake, insurance verification, and documentation to support timely and compliant patient care.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or patient‑facing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and technology and understand how data flows between systems
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • General knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans
  • Familiarity with healthcare documentation and insurance verification processes
  • Previous experience in patient registration, intake, or healthcare office settings

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients in an office setting, ensuring a positive and professional experience
  • Support process improvement initiatives to help enhance workflows related to intake, verification, and data accuracy
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the company’s DME products and services
  • Review clinical documentation and payer guidelines to determine patient qualification and compliance for equipment and services
  • Assist with end‑to‑end intake and revenue cycle workflows, including:
  • Reviewing required documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Processing, verifying, and submitting documentation as needed
  • Completing insurance verification to confirm eligibility, coverage, co‑insurance, and deductibles
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure documentation and patient information is accurate and up to date
