About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) Location: Oklahoma CIty, OK Hours: Monday-Friday 0500-1330 Essential Functions: Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment

Requirements

• Good computer skills, customer service skills, ability to multitask, and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• High school/ GED, previous laboratory is preferred.
• Ability to maintain a professional, courteous, and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stress.
• Reflect the company’s values in all aspects of performance.
• Must be a team player.
• Keyboard skills are important.
• Good customer service skills, professional appearance and attitude are required.
• Must be willing to work overtime or other times/shifts, includig weekends, if required.
• This full-time position works 8 hour day shifts – Monday through Friday.
• Position requires data background with abilities to enter 6,000 alphanumeric keystrokes/hour
• Works in a biohazard environment, practicing good safety habits
• Able to sit or stand for long periods
• Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and works in a production environment

Responsibilities

• Assists laboratory staff in routine technical tasks such as preparation of reagents, specimen processing, loading instruments, and sending specimens out for testing.
• Other duties include filing, temperature monitoring, stocking supplies, answering telephone calls, receiving specimens into the Beaker/ Safe Trace systems, follow employer policies, and work with fellow employees in a professional and productive manner.
• This position is also responsible for helping with inventory and other projects as needed.
