About The Position

Description Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) Location: Yukon, OK Schedule: Monday–Friday 8am-5pm Essential Functions: ● Report to work on time and prepared for each scheduled shift ● Perform all assigned duties and processes, including tasks for which you are fully qualified and those within your demonstrated capabilities ● Maintain a positive, professional, and supportive attitude throughout the workday ● Work collaboratively as a team member and contribute to a respectful, productive work environment

Requirements

• Proven ability to collect blood specimens from patients of all age groups, including pediatric and geriatric populations
• Ability to manage a high patient volume efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with all DLO departments and clients
• Proficiency in basic computer use, including keyboarding and data entry
• Flexibility with your schedule — you may occasionally need to start early or stay late to meet patient or client needs
• Willingness to travel or work at different locations if business needs change
• Ability to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items (up to 40 lbs occasionally, with help for anything heavier)
• Comfortable sitting or standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform hands-on, repetitive tasks throughout the day with good attention to detail
• Comfortable using a computer and phone regularly
• Good hand coordination and steady movements
• Ability to move throughout the day, including walking, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and urine specimens using approved techniques and equipment
• Accession patient and test information accurately into the Care 360 system
• Process and prepare all types of specimens for testing
• Obtain billing information from patients and ICD-10 diagnosis information from clients, as needed
• Communicate clearly, courteously, and professionally with internal teams, patients, and external customers
