About The Position
The DJS Resident Advisor Lead position is responsible for supervising and guiding youth in a facility operated by the Department of Juvenile Services. This role involves observing, interacting, and assisting youth with everyday life skills while advising them on appropriate alternative behaviors. Additionally, the Resident Advisor Lead trains, assigns, and reviews the work of lower-level DJS Resident Advisors, although they do not perform full supervisory duties. The position requires full certification from the Maryland Correctional Training Commission (MCTC) and maintenance of this certification annually.
