About The Position

The Divisional Quality Team is seeking a highly motivated individual that is looking for an opportunity to expand their knowledge around our business processes, quality management system, ISO, FSC and other Standards. This role will lead our internal and external audit processes and our Quality Planning and Management Review processes. The role will work across all functional departments and all manufacturing sites. The role will become a trained super user and process owner for our Quality Management System, which enables ISO processes such as document control, training and corrective action. This position is classified as "Hybrid"; on site four days per week. The role reports to our Quality Director.

Requirements

  • A Degree in Engineering / Management Information Systems/ Information Technology / Computer Science, or related field OR for an internal employee a minimum of three (3) years of Avery Dennison experience.

  • Oracle BI experience
  • Certified auditor
  • Certified lead auditor
  • Proven track record of effectively communicating within a wide range of organizational levels
  • Experience implementing procedures, processes, programs, and practices under formal "management systems" like ISO 9001 (or a similar quality, environmental, or safety management systems) to ensure continuous improvement and continued conformance with relevant standards
  • Experience working with SaaS solutions and basic Java Script coding

Responsibilities

  • Super user of our document control, training and corrective action ( IT) system
  • Investigate and resolve system issues.
  • Implement improvements in our IT system.
  • Provide and optimize super-user support of our document control & training IT system.
  • Prepare the annual operating plan and monthly forecasting of compliance costs.
  • Develop and implement service level agreements (SLA) with external suppliers.
  • Develop and lead internal/external audit training processes.
  • Manage internal audit and lead auditor training roster and expectations
  • Develop and maintain internal audit schedule and back up dates
  • Be a Lead Auditor and travel to sites to do internal audits and support external audits on site.
  • Update and improve Divisional procedures and work instructions to address repeat audit findings.
  • Build and implement new ISO procedures, work instructions and documents.
  • Complete corrective action effectiveness reviews / audits
  • Drive step change improvement to the corrective and preventive action (CAPA) process.
  • Support all internal business functions/departments as they optimize their document control and QMS training processes.
  • Lead portions of Quality Planning and Management Review
