About The Position

As the Divisional Group Controller/Finance Director of Life Science & Consumer, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and providing strategic financial guidance across multiple sites. Reporting directly to the EVP, CFO and President of LS&C Operations this role requires a strong foundation in accounting, GL management, financial and analysis. The Divisional Controller/Director will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial data, optimizing operational efficiency, and supporting leadership in strategic decision-making for the division. Work Location: United States (flexible near company office locations)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a manufacturing or multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience in managing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Strong Manufacturing Costing Knowledge preferably in Job Costing Environment.Proven experience in managing financial operations across multiple sites or business units, with the ability to handle complex financial structures.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience in developing and mentoring finance teams.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
  • 50% Travel Required.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial functions for multiple sites, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting compliance with accounting standards, and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Provide financial leadership and support to divisional management, driving decision-making and business performance improvements.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for the division, identifying key financial risks and opportunities.
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
  • Collaborate with operational leaders to implement cost-saving initiatives, drive operational efficiency and improve profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyzing variances and trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Work with Plant Controller and ensure accounting process and practices are in compliance with GAAP.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and procedures are in place and followed across all locations to safeguard company assets.
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.
  • Work closely with auditors and other external partners to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and audits.
  • Partner with corporate finance and other divisions to align divisional financial goals with broader organizational objectives.
