About The Position

The Divisional Director of Resident Services (RN) will provide regional clinical support to our Assisted Living and Memory Care community management in multiple states in order to refine, standardize, and enhance our ability to provide outstanding resident care at all of our communities that provide care services for our senior residents. The role will also provide training and oversight of departmental standards. Requirements

  • Must have RN with 1+ years Regional Nurse experience in Assisted Living/Memory Care
  • Must be located in the DFW area
  • Ability to travel nationwide with limited notice
  • Management experience
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Knowledge of Quality Indicators
  • Experience at handling state compliance issues and developing plans to address deficiencies
  • Computer literacy in MDS and care plan development
  • Experience in staff development and risk management
  • Exposure to and some experience with Medicare/Medicaid compliance issues
  • Experience in cost control and budget management

Responsibilities

  • Receiving and reviewing all AL/MC resident issue or incident reports.
  • Conducting analysis to identify common themes, issues or trends.
  • Reporting to regional management at monthly conference calls any best practice suggestions or training that will assist to reduce frequency and severity.
  • Planning and leading monthly training conference call for nursing department supervisors.
  • Assisting Regional Directors in the creation, implementation, and maintenance of nursing policies and procedures in order to increase consistency across the company when possible.
  • Traveling to communities in multiple states to evaluate and recommend changes to processes, procedures, or personnel within nursing and resident care departments.
  • Filling in temporarily as necessary with nurse delegation or nurse oversight when other options are not available.
  • Provide assistance and oversight on the preparation and response to state surveys and related resident care or nursing deficiencies.
  • Working with community resident services staff to ensure compliance with state regulatory requirements.
  • Complete RN Delegation responsibilities for medication passes at select communities.
  • Work with Regional Management, Risk Management, and Human Resources, to identify ways to reduce care or medication-related liability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
