About The Position

The Campaign Director position is charged with the authority and responsibility to see that the Campaign vision is developed, managed, and successfully funded through vision-donor partnerships. This role involves overseeing the campaign's case development, funding operations, and management, ensuring that all aspects align with Young Life's mission and policies.

Requirements

  • Must be a volunteer or staff person of Young Life (preferred).
  • Available to work full-time for the undetermined duration of the campaign.
  • Capable of successfully overseeing donor management and follow-through.
  • Proven experience in environments that demand proactivity and punctuality in meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to research and study for speaking and presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively with major donors and close on major gifts.
  • Ability to accurately develop and manage a budget.
  • Ability to work as a team member with other Young Life staff and volunteers.

Nice To Haves

  • BA degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the campaign case is complete and includes all key components, especially the budget section and the gift plan.
  • Invite the Young Life Communications department to bid on case material.
  • Develop a campaign budget that includes the cost of development, communication, and data management, approved by the Chief Development Officer (CDO).
  • Oversee a feasibility study to determine the financial goal for the campaign.
  • Manage the campaign using Windshield2000™ (WS) software.
  • Set the timetable for the campaign and the monthly targets to be met to reach the goal.
  • Develop prospects and act as a primary or secondary caller for donor solicitation meetings.
  • Lead, train, supervise, and support staff and volunteers involved in the campaign.
  • Plan and carry out supporting activities for the campaign such as donor events and communication strategies.
  • Coordinate campaign activities with other Young Life development entities.
  • Submit updated databases and reports to the CDO monthly.

Benefits

  • Salary range from $73,900 to $100,990 depending on education, experience, and location.
