This role is administratively responsible for strategic oversight and operational performance of the Cancer National Service Line services across their division. They co-lead the strategy council with physician co-leaders, focusing on clinical quality and operational excellence; manages both ambulatory outpatient and acute inpatient services, including various specialties. Reports to the Enterprise National Service Line (NSL) Administrative Leader and works in a dyad leadership model with the Division-Based physician leader to advance programs for clinical quality, growth, innovation, and affordability. Key responsibilities include supervising administrative service line leaders, coordinating inpatient and outpatient services, building strong physician relations, and ensuring strong financial performance. The incumbent must be a visionary leader with a proven track record in hospital/service line operations, patient experience, and employee engagement. They must also excel in building effective relationships with physicians and stakeholders to align goals with the enterprise's strategic vision across a highly matrixed environment. This division leader has accountability for end-to-end service line operations across the full care continuum as well as participation in strategic work in support of REWIRE 2030, the Advocate Health strategic plan.
