About The Position

The Division Sales & Rental Manager is responsible for leading the sales and rental operations of the heavy equipment division. This role drives revenue growth, manages key customer relationships, oversees inventory utilization, and ensures operational excellence across the division. The position requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and in-depth knowledge of heavy construction equipment markets.

Requirements

  • Experience in heavy equipment sales and rental operations.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience of managing teams and multi-million-dollar revenue portfolios.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, cranes, and earthmoving machinery.
  • Financial acumen and experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and ERP software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve division revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Prepare and negotiate sales and rental contracts, pricing, and terms.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing strategies.
  • Oversee rental fleet performance, utilization rates, and asset lifecycle management.
  • Ensure equipment availability, proper maintenance coordination, and timely dispatch.
  • Optimize rental pricing strategies to maximize ROI.
  • Manage fleet acquisition and disposal planning.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop sales representatives, rental coordinators, and support staff.
  • Set performance targets and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Provide training on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service excellence.
  • Develop and manage division budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
  • Track KPIs including revenue, margins, utilization rates, and accounts receivable.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Improve operational processes to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve escalated customer issues and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Conduct site visits and maintain direct engagement with major accounts.
  • Ensure after-sales support and coordination with service departments.
