The role involves providing leadership and management for the quality function, establishing and optimizing a quality management system, and implementing a quality plan to meet organizational goals and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or related discipline.
  • 5-7 years of Quality, Engineering or related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Preferred certification by ASQ as a Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, or Certified Quality Manager.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality technologies.
  • Experience with quality improvement tools and techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Statistical Process Control.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB), or Certified Quality Manager (CQMgr) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reports to the Division General Manager and manages department resources for quality.
  • Coordinates the implementation of the quality management system across business units.
  • Communicates customer, regulatory, and organizational requirements to ensure product quality.
  • Oversees documentation and implementation of the quality management system.
  • Ensures training and performance results for individuals affecting quality.
  • Coordinates internal, customer, and third-party quality system audits.
  • Maintains a corrective action system for nonconforming conditions and complaints.
  • Implements performance measurements to evaluate organizational performance and trends.
  • Collaborates with Purchasing on supplier management strategy.
  • Assesses supplier capabilities and monitors supplier quality.
  • Collaborates with Engineering on new product development and design review.
