About The Position
Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine is recruiting for a Division of Outreach Medicine Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will work directly with the Vice President of Clinical Affairs at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine (WMed), to support the Division of Outreach Medicine. The coordinator will act as a first point of contact and liaison for all medical students, residents, faculty, community faculty, site personnel and school administration and must be knowledgeable about medical education in general, and the outreach medicine programs (including Street Medicine and the Firehouse Clinic). This role emphasizes coordination, logistical support, data management, and effective communication within the Division of Outreach Medicine, residency program coordinators, student clerkship directors, other medical school administrative staff, as well as with community partners. The Coordinator assists with clinic scheduling for faculty, students, and residents, recruitment and onboarding of volunteers and staff, management of supplies and inventory, and ensures compliance with necessary training and certifications. Additionally, the Coordinator supports budget tracking, oversees donation management, prepares documentation and reporting for grants, and coordinates internal and external meetings. This position will require the Program Coordinator to have excellent interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail and experience/knowledge for program evaluation. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently and as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
